Tears Join the Oil
What can we do
for a shattered vessel?
What can we say
to a broken jar of clay?
Its
wax
is
crushed,
bled oil spilling out in a puddle,
young flame flickering on the dirt floor.
The
Potter
draws
near
and
sees
His
reflection.
Then scarred hands meet sharp edges
And tears join the oil
