Hi Doug. I just listened to your message from Mark 2. I appreciated the emphasis you placed on Jesus' reply to the Pharisees...what is the greater act--healing the man on the Sabbath or forgiving his sins. They are both acts of healing. I find it interesting that Jesus often healed the disease first...but only if they demonstrated the faith He could heal them. Another thing we discussed recently in SS about this passage is that Jesus was also establishing His authority to do both things. I wonder if that element of the Gospel is slighted today. Reminds me that AB Simpson included healing in the fourfold Gospel.
